TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam is a journal published periodically by the Fakultas Ushuluddin, Adab, dan Dakwah - Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda. In one year, the TAUJIHAT journal publishes two issues, namely June and December. Each Issue consists of five articles.
TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam is a scientific publication facility that publishes research articles in the field of psychology that underlies the application of counselling guidance services. Articles published in TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam must be able to show scientific discussions related to psychology in general and counselling guidance in particular in the context of religion, development, education, social, and psychotherapy. Therefore, the resulting findings must enrich the knowledge about psychological problems and the application of counselling guidance services.
TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam applies a double-blind system for peer review where the identities of reviewers and authors are kept anonymous. Each article submitted will go through a review process by two experts in the field according to the research topic in the author's article. However, before entering the review process, the editor will check each article's similarity so that the peer-reviewed articles have low plagiarism. If the author has not received the information within seven days, he can contact the TAUJIHAT journal admin.
TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam implements an Open Access policy for every article published. In this way, every article published by the TAUJIHAT journal can be accessed by the wider community, especially academics, immediately after publication. The aim is to encourage the exchange of knowledge on a global scale.
Ethics This publication contains a code of ethics that must be used as a basis for all parties involved in publishing articles in TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam, which includes the author, chief editor, editorial board, bestari partners (reviewers), and publisher (TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam). This statement was made based on the guidelines issued by the Publication Ethics Committee, namely COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.
Ethical Guidelines for Journal Publications
Articles published in TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam are an important part of the development of coherent and current knowledge in the field of psychology that underlies the application of counselling guidance services. These articles are expected to reflect quality research results from the authors and institutions that support them because they have gone through a review process (double-blind) by bestari partners strictly based on the rules of scientific research methods. Therefore, every party involved in the publication of articles in TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam (writers, editors, bestari partners, and publishers) must be willing to follow ethical guidelines at every stage of the publication process.
Publisher's Obligations
Fakultas Ushuluddin, Adab, dan Dakwah - Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda, as the publisher of the TAUJIHAT journal, must monitor the stages passed in the article publication process; this is done by considering the obligations of the publisher and other parties involved in the article's publication. The publisher will ensure that other matters such as journal printing, journal promotion, and other activities relating to commercial aspects carried out by the TAUJIHAT journal do not have any impact or influence on the editor's decision to publish or not publish an article. Moreover, the Fakultas Ushuluddin, Adab, dan Dakwah - Universitas Islam Negeri Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda and the editorial board will communicate with other journal managers or publishers if necessary.
Publication Decisions
The editor of TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam is responsible for deciding whether to publish incoming manuscripts. The quality of the manuscript is the most crucial consideration in making decisions regarding publishing an article. If necessary, the editor will communicate with bestari partners to decide on the article's publication.
Equal Opportunities
The editor of TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam will assess an incoming manuscript entirely based on the quality of the manuscript in question without considering the race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, belief, ethnicity, nationality, and political views of the author so that each author has the same opportunity.
Author Confidentiality
The editor will not disclose or distribute any information regarding manuscripts submitted to TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam to anyone except prospective bestari partners, advisory board, and publisher staff.
Conflicts of Interest and Data Use
Data that has yet to be published by the author but is attached to the manuscript may not be used by the editor.

Contribute to editorial decisions
Bestari partners assist editors in making decisions regarding article publication. Through editorial communication with authors, bestari partners can also help authors improve the quality of their articles.
Accuracy
Bestari partners who feel incompetent to review a manuscript or cannot review it within the required time frame must notify the editor about this and withdraw from the manuscript review process.
Confidentiality
Any manuscript received for review must be treated as a confidential document. The manuscript may not be shown or discussed with other people except with parties permitted by the editor.
Objectivity standards
Reviews must be carried out objectively. Personal criticism of the author will be considered inappropriate. Bestari partners must convey their opinions clearly and be accompanied by supporting arguments.
Source statement
Bestari partners must identify other previously published research results not referenced by the author. Relevant quotations must accompany every statement, derivative statement, and previously published argument. The Bestari partner must also inform the editor regarding similarities and overlaps between the manuscript he is reviewing and other articles that have been published to the best of the Bestari partner's knowledge.
Conflict of interest
Information or ideas obtained through the review process by bestari partners must remain confidential and not be used for the personal interests of bestari partners. Bestari partners are not permitted to review manuscripts if they suspect a conflict of interest caused by competitive, collaborative or other relationships with authors or institutions related to the manuscript to be reviewed.
Author Obligations:
Writing standards
Authors must pay attention to accuracy, objectivity and significance in manuscripts that will be sent to TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam. The data used in writing must be represented accurately. Manuscripts must contain sufficient details as well as explicit references. Intentional errors or intentionally displaying inaccurate data will be considered an ethical violation.
Data access and storage
Authors are asked to provide raw data relating to the manuscript for review. They should be prepared to provide public access to such data (in line with the ALPSP-STM Statement of Data and Databases) and at all times prepared to store such data for some time. Certain times after the manuscript is published.
Originality and plagiarism
The author must ensure that the submitted manuscript is his work. If the author uses other people's work/his work published as a writing reference, the author must ensure that the works are cited accurately and adequately.
Publication in different Journals
Authors cannot publish manuscripts containing the same research in two different places. Sending the same manuscript to two different publishers simultaneously would be unacceptable and unethical.
Source statement
Adequate acknowledgement of the sources used in the research must be clearly stated. The author must cite all references that significantly influence the entire process of writing the manuscript.
Authorship
The inclusion of authors' names should be limited to those who have contributed significantly to conceiving, designing, implementing, and translating the manuscript. All people who have contributed significantly must be listed as co-authors (author members). If there is a party who also contributed to writing the manuscript, then that party must be listed as a contributor. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors must be included in the manuscript. Before a manuscript is published, all authors must have read the final version of the manuscript and approved it for publication.
Statement of conflict of interest
All authors must include in their manuscript any conflicts of interest related to finances or other substantive matters that may influence the assessment results of their manuscript. All forms of financial support must be conveyed openly during the manuscript writing process.
Fundamental errors in published manuscripts
Suppose the author discovers a significant error after the manuscript is published. In that case, the author is responsible for immediately contacting the journal editor or publisher to retract or correct the manuscript.
The editor will check plagiarism on every article submitted to TAUJIHAT: Jurnal Bimbingan Konseling Islam through the TurnitinTM program. The editor will reject articles with a plagiarism level above 25%. However, researchers can correct them and resubmit.
