Without FGDs, communication skills and Arabic vocabulary acquisition will stagnate. FGD is not just a method, but a vital bridge that connects students with a deep understanding of culture, context, and linguistic nuances that cannot be achieved through conventional methods. Therefore, this study aims to examine and apply the Focus Group Discussion method to Arabic language learning in the Islamic Counseling Guidance Study Program of Institut Nahdlatul Ulama (INU) Ciamis and identify the challenges and successes in applying the FGD method to Arabic language learning. The research method used involves qualitative analysis of data from classroom observations and document analysis. The data analysis technique used in this research is the Miles and Huberman data analysis model, namely data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The results of the study explain the implementation of the Focus Group Discussion method comprehensively from the opening of the FGD to the closing. The challenge found in the implementation of the FGD method is the limited time that is already tight according to the lecture schedule. The success is the active participation of students in equalizing perceptions together with a deeper understanding.</p>2024-06-03T00:00:00+08:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://journal.uinsi.ac.id/index.php/bjle/article/view/8246Development Strategy of Arabic Language Education Program through Alumni Penetration in East Kalimantan Madrasah2024-08-09T20:56:52+08:00Khairy Abusyairikhairy12@gmail.comSyarifaturrahmatullah Syarifaturrahmatullahsyarifaturrahatullah80@gmail.comAhmad Fadhel Syakir Hidayatsyakirhidayat887@gmail.comKautsar Eka Wardhanakautsarturle@gmail.com<p>The aim of this research is to determine the employment rate of Arabic language education graduates in Madrasas across East Kalimantan and to understand the trending profiles that the job market seeks from graduates of the Arabic language education program in East Kalimantan. In learning Arabic, understanding qawaid (Arabic rules) is important to form a strong basis for language understanding, especially in reading ability (maharah qira'ah). Learning media such as Prezi can help improve student’s understanding of qawaid and Arabic reading skills, as well as provide effective solutions in the context of distance learning. The aim of this research is to test the effectiveness of Prezi media in conveying qawaid al-lughah al-arabiyyah material and its impact on increasing student’s maharah qira'ah. This research methodology uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experiment design, where the experimental and control classes are divided based on certain criteria. The results of data analysis using the Independent Sample T-Test showed significant differences between the post-test learning outcomes of the experimental class which used Prezi media and the control class. Learning qawā'id through Prezi media is effective in increasing the mahārah qirā'ah of class XI students at MAN Insan Cendikia Padang Pariaman, with the experimental class's N-Gain Score reaching 58%, quite effective. However, it is necessary to develop Prezi for Arabic fonts. It is recommended that future research measure teachers' readiness to use online learning media. Prezi media is important in distance learning, highlighting the importance of choosing the right media. In conclusion, the use of Prezi media in qawaid learning has the potential to increase student’s understanding and proficiency in Arabic, but needs further adaptation and development to maximize its benefits in a distance learning context.</p>2024-06-12T00:00:00+08:00##submission.copyrightStatement##https://journal.uinsi.ac.id/index.php/bjle/article/view/8226Arab Society Customs in School Found Within Kitab Al Arabiyyah Baina Yadaik2024-08-09T21:14:22+08:00Nur’ainun Ritonganurainunritonga64@gmail.comSahyoni Sahyonisahyoni@gmail.comYayan Nurbayanyayayn@gmail.comIbnu Burdahibn@gmail.comNur Fuadi Rahmannurfuadi33@gmail.com<p>Language and culture are closely intertwined and inseparable. Regular exposure to foreign languages through YouTube videos accelerates their understanding and natural use of the language in everyday contexts. This study aims to provide a detailed and comprehensive explanation of the process and outcomes of second language acquisition in toddlers whose first language is Indonesian, and who are exposed to English-language songs from YouTube channels. The method used in this study is Narrative Inquiry, which aims to provide a depiction of lived experiences, capturing the complexity and situational context from the internal perspective of the research subjects. The findings indicate that exposure to educational content does not entirely have detrimental effects. In the context of this research, the subject successfully acquired a second language through YouTube videos introduced at the age of 13 months. By the time the subject reached 27 months, observations showed that the subject had successfully acquired more than 17 vocabulary words that could be used appropriately in context. This study highlights that toddlers exposed to YouTube content can experience positive effects in second language acquisition, with various vocabulary words absorbed during the critical period of language learning. Therefore, content focused on educational material, such as Toddler Learning Videos and songs for children, is recommended as a method of language acquisition therapy for children.
