<p><strong>Borneo Journal of Primary Education</strong> (<a title="ISSN" href="http://issn.pdii.lipi.go.id/issn.cgi?daftar&1614152636&1&&" target="_blank" rel="noopener">E-ISSN 2775-5258</a>) is a scholarly academic journal published by Faculty of Education and Teacher Training of UINSI Samarinda, Indonesia. It is a peer-reviewed open access journal in the fields of Primary Education. The publication of an article in Borneo Journal of Primary Education is an essential building block in the development of a respected network of knowledge. It is a direct reflection of the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support them. Peer-reviewed articles support and embody the scientific method. It is important to agree upon standards of expected ethical behavior for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editors, the peer reviewers, and the publisher. The journal is published three times a year in February, June, and October. It was firstly published in 2021. <p>Kemampuan dalam memahami struktur kalimat masih menjadi persoalan kompleks di kalangan siswa sekolah dasar. Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya pemahaman terhadap pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia sejak dini. Adapun penggunaan struktur kalimat yang tepat ini menjadi kunci utama dalam membentuk tulisan yang mudah dipahami oleh orang lain. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab kesalahan dalam karangan deskripsi siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, (1) Terdapat kesalahan struktur kalimat pada siswa, ini terlihat pada ketidakmampuan dalam menyusun kalimat sesuai kaidah Bahasa Indonesia, seperti kalimat tanpa subjek, kalimat tanpa predikat dan penggunaan konjungsi secara berlebihan, serta tidak mampu mendeskripsikan objek secara konkret; (2) Faktor keterbatasan tersebut diakibatkan karena minimnya latihan dan pemahaman kosakata siswa terhadap struktur kalimat, serta pengaruh bahasa daerah yang digunakan sehari-hari. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa ketidakmampuan siswa menyusun kalimat yang benar disebabkan karena faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, sehingga perlu adanya pembelajaran secara intens oleh guru.</p>Salsabila Aulia MaharaniJuhairiah JuhairiahSunanik sunanik

<p><em>Many young children struggle with math basics when lessons focus too much on the teacher talking. This research set out to see if a more playful, hands-on approach could change that. We studied the impact of the Team Games Tournament (TGT) method, which uses games and tangible objects, to make learning math more joyful and effective for young learners. Working with a class of 24 first-graders at SD Muhammadiyah Ngawi, we observed their activities, talked with them, and used simple tests. The change was clear: the classroom came alive with energy as the children became excited and actively involved in their math lessons. The most telling result was in their test scores: the number of students who understood the material jumped from just 3 to 9. This shows us that TGT can truly create a vibrant and relatable learning space where children thrive. Our key takeaway is that while this method is powerful, some children still need extra, personalized support. <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa yang masih rendah, masih banyak siswa yang belum memahami apa maksud dari pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang diberikan oleh guru, Seringkali proses pembelajaran cenderung mengingat dan menghafal materi, serta kurang menggunakan pendekatan pembelajaran yang membuat siswa aktif dan kritis dalam proses pembelajaran. Oleh sebab itu, dibutuhkan pendekatan <em>STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering </em><em>And Mathematics)</em> karena mampu membangun pemahaman konsep, keterampilan berpikir kritis, toleransi, kreativitas dan rasa ingin tahu untuk memperbaiki proses pembelajaran. Subjek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 24 siswa yang ada di kelas IV MI Darussalam Samarinda. Teknik analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji hipotesis menggunakan <em>one sample t-test</em>. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan pembahasan data penelitian, maka disimpulkan bahwa pendekatan <em>STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)</em> memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan berpikir kritis pembelajaran tematik pada siswa kelas IV MI Darussalam Samarinda. Hal ini dibuktikan pada perhitungan uji hipotesis menggunakan uji <em>one sample t-test</em> yaitu <em>Signifikansi</em> sebesar 0,000 < 0,05, maka dapat diputuskan bahwa Ha diterima. <p><em>This study is a research and development (R&D) study that adapts the ADDIE model with adjustments based on the needs of the researcher. The purpose of this study is to produce an Indonesian handout product containing local wisdom and the level of validity of the Indonesian handout containing local wisdom for fifth grade students at MI DDI Tani Aman Samarinda. The implementation of this study includes validation tests by material experts and media experts, readability tests by small groups and large groups, and teacher responses related to the products developed.</em></p> <p><em>The results of the study showed that the developed product was said to be feasible by material experts and media experts with a percentage of material expert assessment of 73.68% and a media expert assessment of 90.93%. The results of the readability test in the</em></p> <p><em>small group were 90% and the large group was 89.16%. The results of the responses of teachers who teach the Indonesian Language study field for fifth grade were 81.54%.
