DAKWAH ISLAM MODERAT PERSPEKTIF HAJI AGUS SALIM

ewline"> Da’wah of moderate Islam is a da’wah concept that can be accepted by all of the public which the context adjusts for the time and the place. Haji Agus Salim, as an intellectual of Islam, has given a new color for the  paradigm of Islamic thought and tried to break down the fundamentalists thoughts. The Islamic moderate thoughts can be tracked from the books that he published, also the
scientific orations that he delivered in the scientific forums, including the college materials that he delivered at Cornell University of America. There are four important things that he tries to deliver in his moderate da’wah i.e. introduce Islam as a peace religion, affection and give salvation to all the human beings, introduce Muhammad SAW as a model figure, introduce AlQur’an and As-Sunnah which can be a way of life, and muamalah life by combining the values of Islam and the local culture.
