Posisi Minoritas dalam Diskursus Islam Antara Historisitas dan Realitas

Abstract

This writing is trying to parse minority position in system of democracy  and in context of Islam. Because actually, the minority fate in the system  of democracy is not more comfortable than when the time of Islamic  oversight. In the implementation of the democracy system in the state- nation does not always guarantee there is the evenness between majority- minority in the economic rights, politic, even cultural, the same thing also happen in dzimmi concept which is exist in Islam. On the other hand, the  issue that has to be concerned in this theme is the reality that there are  two classifications of minority; indigenous minority and immigrant minority where each has different characteristics, problem, and relation.  This writing will examine the problems occurs.
