Plagiarism Checking
Plagiarism Policy
The Borneo Journal of Primary Education (BJPE) is committed to maintaining academic integrity and originality in all published work. Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are their own work and that ideas, words, data, images, and other materials taken from other sources are properly cited and, where required, used with permission.
All submissions may be screened for similarity using plagiarism-detection software. Similarity reports are assessed by the editors in context; a similarity score alone does not determine whether plagiarism has occurred. The editors may request clarification or revisions, reject a manuscript, or take further action when unattributed or improperly attributed material is identified.
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
- Copying text, ideas, data, or other materials without appropriate acknowledgment.
- Presenting another person’s work as one’s own.
- Reusing substantial portions of one’s previously published work without citation or disclosure.
- Submitting a manuscript that substantially overlaps with work published or under consideration elsewhere without disclosure.
If possible plagiarism or redundant publication is identified after publication, BJPE will investigate the matter and may publish a correction, retract the article, or take other appropriate action in accordance with the journal’s editorial procedures. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts meet these requirements before submission.
