Author Guidelines

Authors who wish to submit a manuscript to the Sultan Idris Journal of Psychology and Education must adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Types of Manuscripts Accepted

Sultan Idris Journal of Psychology and Education publishes:

  • Original research articles
  • Literature reviews or theoretical papers
  • Case studies
  • Applied and practical development papers in psychology or education

2. Language

Manuscripts may be written in standard and academic-level Indonesian or English.

3. Originality

The submitted manuscript must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

4. Formatting Requirements

  • Length: 5,000–7,500 words including references and appendices
  • File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)
  • Paper size: A4 with standard 1-inch margins (2.5 cm)
  • Font: Corbel, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing
  • Citation and reference style: APA Style 7th edition

5. Stucture of Research Articles

Research-based articles should be organized as follows:

  • Title (maximum 15 words)
  • Author(s) and Affiliation(s)
  • Abstract (maximum 200 words) and 3–5 keywords
  • Introduction
  • Method
  • Results and Discussion
  • Conclusion and Implications
  • References

6.  Abstract

An abstract must be provided in both Indonesian and English (each up to 200 words), summarizing the background, objective, method, key findings, and conclusion.

7. References

At least 80% of the references must be from primary sources (scientific journals) published within the last 10 years.

8. Submission

Manuscripts should be submitted through the journal’s online system (OJS) or via the official editorial email.

9. Review Process

All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review process.
