Peer Review Process

The journal uses a blind system for peer-review; reviewers' and authors’ identities remain anonymous. The paper will be peer-reviewed by two experts; one reviewer from outside and one editor from the journal, typically involve in reviewing a submission. The journal will screen the paper for plagiarism using turnitin checker.

Peer Review Process in Fenomena: Jurnal Penelitian

Registration and Manuscript Submission
Authors must first register in the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS) and upload their manuscript according to the required template.

Initial Screening
The editor conducts an initial check to ensure the manuscript fits the journal’s focus and scope, follows the template guidelines, and passes plagiarism screening. This stage usually takes about ±1 week.

Manuscripts that meet the criteria are forwarded to the review stage.

Manuscripts with notes or corrections from the editor are returned to the author for revision within ±1–2 weeks.

Peer Review Process
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to reviewers under a double-blind peer review system. Reviewers assess the quality, originality, methodology, novelty, and contribution of the article to the field. This process may take about ±1–3 months, depending on the revisions required from the authors based on reviewer feedback.

Copy Editing
Once the manuscript is accepted, the editor conducts copy editing, focusing on language quality, style, and technical consistency. This stage takes about ±2 weeks.

Letter of Acceptance (LoA)
The editor issues a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) as formal confirmation that the manuscript has successfully passed the peer review process. This step usually takes ±1 week.

Publication
The final stage is the official publication of the article in Fenomena: Jurnal Penelitian by the Editor-in-Chief. Accepted articles are published in the scheduled issue of the journal.
