As of April 7, 2026, the Mitsaq: Islamic Family Law Journal has officially been accredited by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of The Republic of Indonesia (Decree Number: 156/C/C3/KPT/2026) as a national reputable academic journal in rank 4. The ranking status can be verified and tracked via the Indonesian Science and Technology Index (SINTA).

Mitsaq: Islamic Family Law Journal is a scholarly journal published by the Faculty of Sharia at Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda State Islamic University. This academic publication is devoted to the study of Islamic Family Law. Mitsaq adopts the most recent studies, including both doctrinal-conceptual and empirical legal studies.

The editorial board of the Mitsaq: Islamic Family Law Journal invites lecturers, students, scholars, and legal practitioners to contribute to the development of sharia family law by submitting articles in the Mitsaq: Islamic Family Law Journal. This journal is published twice annually, between January and August, after undergoing the review and editing procedures. The journal invites articles written in Bahasa, Arabic, and English that are the outcome of thesis research, theses, dissertations, lecturer research, and other study.
