Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve the learning outcomes of students on the topic of Welcoming Puberty through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model for 11 students (5 boys and 6 girls) in Class IV of SDN 001 Sebulu. This research is motivated by the low average learning outcomes of the students. Data were collected through observations and written tests, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results show  that the application of the PBL model can improve learning outcomes, evidenced by an increase in the learning completeness from 56.25% in cycle I to 87.5% in cycle II. Furthermore, the students' learning activities also improved to a good and satisfactory category. Thus, the application of the PBL model has proven to be effective in improving learning outcomes while making the learning process more efficient, enjoyable, and engaging for students.
