Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  • If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikasi

Petunjuk Umum:

  1. Artikel merupakan hasil karya orisinil dan belum pernah dipublikasikan atau sedang proses publikasi pada media lain;
  2. Artikel dapat berupa kajian konseptual, resume hasil penelitian, atau pemikiran pada bidang kajian Ilmu Dakwah, Penyiaran Agama, dan Komunikasi;
  3. Artikel ditulis dalam bahasa Indonesia/Arab/Inggris yang sesuai dengan kaidah bahasa dan ragam tulisan ilmiah;
  4. Artikel dikirim melalui website Lentera: Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikas dengan terlebih dahulu log in ke dalam sistem (https://journal.iain-samarinda.ac.id/index.php/lentera/login).

Petunjuk Teknis:

  1. Kerangka artikel meliputi judul, nama penulis, abstrak dalam bahasa Inggris, kata kunci dan isi;
  2. Nama dan afiliasi penulis ditulis setelah judul;
  3. Abstrak dibuat ringkas, padat dan jelas, maksimal 300 kata yang mencerminkan: tujuan (objective/s), metode penelitian (methods), temuan penelitian (findings), kontribusi (contribution);
  4. Kata kunci dapat berbentuk kata ataupun frase, maksimal 5 buah;
  5. Isi terdiri dari pendahuluan, metode, temuan data dan diskusi, dan kesimpulan;
  6. Panjang artikel maksimal 30 halaman kertas ukuran A4 dengan spasi satua, menggunakan huruf cambria dan font size 12 atau dengan panjang maksimal 9000 kata;
  7. Nilai maksimal tingkat similaritas (turnitin) dari artikel adalah sebesar 25%
  8. Dalam menulis kutipan, editor Lentera: Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikasi menganjurkan penulis untuk menggunakan aplikasi manajemen referensi Zotero dengan American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition.

General Instruction:

  1. The submitted manuscript is an original work and has never been published or are in the process of publication in other journals;
  2. It can be conceptual studies, an excerpt of research, or legal thoughts of scholars in the field of Islamic Proselytizing, Da’wah, and Communication Studies;
  3. It is written in Indonesian / Arabic / English in accordance with the standard of scientific papers;
  4. The manuscript is submitted through the website of Lentera: Journal of Da’wa and Communication by first logging into the system (https://journal.iain-samarinda.ac.id/index.php/lentera/login);

Technical Instruction:

  1. The submitted manuscript must include title, author name, abstract in English, and keywords;
  2. The author's name and affiliation are written briefly after the title of the article;
  3. The abstract is written briefly, concisely, and clearly, up to 300 words. It must provide the objective/s, methods, findings, and the contribution of your paper to advance the scholarly discussion in your area of expertise;
  4. Keywords can be words or phrases, a maximum of 5;
  5. The contents consist of the following headings: introduction, methods, result and discussion, and conclusion;
  6. The length of the manuscript is up to 30 pages of A4 size paper with one f spacing, using Cambria font and font size 12; or up to 9000-word count;
  7. The maximum level of similarity (according to Turnitin) allowed is 25%
  8. In writing Citation and Bibliography, editor Lentera: Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikasi suggests authors use the Zotero Reference Management Software with American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition.
