Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of science (IPA) on the topic of vegetative plant reproduction in 6th-grade students at MI Persiapan Negeri Namlea through the implementation of the cooperative learning model, Picture and Picture. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) methods conducted in two cycles. The subjects of the study were 19 students in grade VI, with data collected through observations and tests (pre-test, post-test cycle I, and post-test cycle II). The pre-test results showed that only 31.57% of students achieved the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM), while the remaining students did not meet the KKM. In Cycle I, students' learning outcomes improved with an average score of 74.78 and a completion rate of 57.89%. However, in Cycle II, there was a significant increase, with the average score reaching 79.63 and the classical completion rate of 84.21%. These results indicate that the implementation of the Picture and Picture model is effective in enhancing students' understanding of vegetative plant reproduction. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the cooperative learning model, Picture and Picture, improves science learning outcomes and increases student engagement in the learning process.
