Upaya Peningkatan Pemahaman Siswa Melalui Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning Pada Materi Meyakini Kitab-Kitab Allah
Abstract
This Research enhance students' understanding in the subject of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) on the topic of Believing in the Books of Allah through the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in class VIII E of SMP Negeri 1 Bengalon. The background of this study is the low student engagement in the learning process, which tends to be teacher-centered, resulting in a lack of understanding of the material. This research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method conducted in two cycles, each consisting of one session. Data collection techniques included observation, learning outcome tests, and documentation, analyzed descriptively using qualitative and quantitative approaches.The results indicated that the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning model was carried out effectively as planned and had a positive impact on students’ motivation and understanding. Students' understanding significantly improved in each cycle. The model proved effective in fostering students' enthusiasm for learning, facilitating their comprehension of the material, and creating an enjoyable learning atmosphere through hands-on practice and group work. Thus, Problem-Based Learning is an innovative teaching model that effectively enhances students’ understanding in Islamic Religious Education.
