Manuscript Types and Description Guidelines
Lentera: Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Komunikasi accepts submissions of the following manuscript types. Authors must select the appropriate manuscript type during the submission process.
 
1. Original Research Article
  • Description: A comprehensive report of original empirical or theoretical research results presenting new and significant scientific findings. The manuscript must adhere to the standard IMRAD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion).
  • Word Count: Maximum 6,000 words (excluding abstract, tables, figures, and references).
  • Abstract: Maximum 250 words.
  • Tables & Figures: Maximum 8 in total.
  • References: Typically 30–50 references, preferably from recent scientific journal articles.
2. Review Article
  • Description: A comprehensive and critical evaluation of existing literature on a specific topic within the journal's scope. This type includes Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analyses, or critical narrative reviews that map out future research gaps.
  • Word Count: Maximum 8,000 words.
  • Abstract: Maximum 250 words.
  • Tables & Figures: Maximum 6 in total.
  • References: Minimum 50 references (must be comprehensive).
3. Short Communication
  • Description: A short article presenting highly significant preliminary findings, critical updates, or urgent research that requires rapid publication.
  • Word Count: Maximum 3,000 words.
  • Abstract: Maximum 150 words.
  • Tables & Figures: Maximum 3 in total.
  • References: Maximum 20 references.
4. Case Study / Case Report (Optional)
  • Description: An in-depth report on a specific, unique, or rare phenomenon (whether clinical, legal, or organizational/business scenarios) that provides significant educational value or new insights.
  • Word Count: Maximum 2,500 words.
  • Abstract: Maximum 150 words.
  • Tables & Figures: Maximum 4 in total.
