Penerapan Model Direct Learning untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Membaca Al-Quran Surah At-Tiin Pada Mata Pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam Dan Budi Pekerti
Abstract
This study aims to improve the Quran reading skills of 5th grade students at SDIT Nurul 'Ilmi Tenggarong, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, through the implementation of the Direct Learning model. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted as an effort to improve the teaching and learning patterns applied by both the teacher and students. Teachers are expected to choose the right teaching model to ensure the learning process achieves maximum success. The research was carried out in two cycles, using the Direct Learning model in each cycle. In the first cycle, observations showed that the learning process was not fully successful, as many students struggled with reading the Quran according to the rules of tajwid, and some students were not paying attention to the teacher's explanations. However, in the second cycle, after reflection and improvements were made, there was a significant increase in students' Quran reading abilities. The assessment results in the second cycle showed an average improvement in Quran reading skills to 90.98%. Thus, the application of the Direct Learning model proved to be effective in enhancing students' Quran reading skills. This model can be applied to strengthen teaching related to Quran recitation and tajwid, especially in elementary schools and madrasah ibtida'iyah.
