Governing Body

The governing body of Syamil operates under the official mandate of the State Islamic University Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris Samarinda and is directly supported by the Postgraduate program. This body holds the core responsibility for guiding the journal's strategic vision, securing its institutional sustainability, and managing its overarching governance.

To maintain alignment with global academic publishing standards, the governing body upholds the ethical frameworks established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Its duties involve formulating general policies, providing necessary administrative and financial resources, and fostering the journal's long-term development.

Importantly, while the governing body offers institutional supervision, it maintains a strict non-interference policy regarding editorial operations. The Editor-in-Chief and the editorial board possess absolute autonomy over manuscript assessment, peer review, and final publication choices. This clear separation guarantees that all editorial outcomes are determined strictly by scientific merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
