Syamil, a scientific journal under the auspices of Sultan Aji Muhammad Idris State Islamic University Samarinda, is co-supported by the Graduate School. Its primary mission is to foster intellectual discourse and share impactful educational research contributed by lecturers, researchers, students, and practitioners.

While the host institution provides the administrative and financial infrastructure necessary to maintain the journal's sustainability, editorial governance remains completely independent. The Editor-in-Chief holds exclusive authority over editorial decisions, ensuring that the manuscript selection, peer review, and publication processes are conducted impartially and without external or institutional interference.
