Abstract

This research aims to enhance students' learning motivation and academic achievement in Islamic Religious Education (PAI), specifically on the topic of reaching the age of maturity, through the implementation of the card short teaching model at SDN 009 Sangatta Utara. The research background highlights diverse social, economic, and parenting conditions among students, alongside the influence of digitalization, which diminishes students' attention toward learning. The study employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted collaboratively and participatively, involving two cycles, each comprising two sessions. Data collection techniques include complete participatory observation and documentation in the form of student score lists, group assignments, and photographs of classroom activities. Data were analyzed based on reflections from each cycle. The findings reveal that the card short teaching model significantly improved students' motivation and learning outcomes. Initially, students' academic performance was relatively low due to a lack of engagement in learning activities. However, through the step-by-step implementation of learning strategies, including theoretical explanations, hands-on practice, and group work, students demonstrated significant improvements in understanding.
