Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dengan Media Talking Stick dalam Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar Siswa Pada Materi Tanda-Tanda Balig
Abstract
This study aims to improve early reading skills in group B children at RA Al Munawwar, Tasikmalaya, using the letter arrangement game method. This game utilized simple media such as straws, matchsticks, and pebbles, which can attract children's interest in reading learning. The study used a classroom action research (CAR) approach, conducted in three stages: pre-cycle, cycle 1, and cycle 2. Each cycle was evaluated based on assessment indicators, including recognizing vowel and consonant letters, arranging letters into simple words, distinguishing words with the same initial letter, and combining syllables into simple words. The results showed a significant improvement in the children's early reading skills. Before the intervention, the children's ability was at the "emerging" criterion with a percentage of 44.7%. After cycle 1, their reading skills increased to 51.4%, and in cycle 2, they reached 92.2%, meeting the "very good" criterion. This improvement indicates that the letter arrangement game with varied media effectively enhances early reading skills. This study contributes to the development of enjoyable and effective reading learning methods for young children.
