The Borneo Journal of Language and Education (BENJOLE) is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal dedicated to the advancement of research in Arabic and English language education, linguistics, and literature. The journal provides an academic platform for researchers, lecturers, educators, and practitioners to disseminate original research and scholarly contributions that advance theoretical understanding, methodological development, and practical applications in the study, teaching, and learning of Arabic and English.

BENJOLE welcomes empirical, theoretical, conceptual, and review studies addressing the teaching and learning of Arabic and English, linguistic analysis, literary studies, the historical development of both languages, and the evolution of language education. The journal also encourages research on the relationship between Islamic culture and Arabic and English education, as well as the integration of educational media, digital technologies, and artificial intelligence (AI) into language teaching, learning, and research.

The journal aims to promote scholarly dialogue and interdisciplinary research while maintaining a clear focus on Arabic and English language education, linguistics, and literature.

Manuscript Selection

BENJOLE welcomes submissions from national and international scholars whose work aligns with the journal's focus and scope. Manuscripts must demonstrate originality, academic relevance, methodological rigor, and a clear contribution to knowledge in Arabic or English language education, linguistics, literature, or language-related technology and artificial intelligence.

All submissions undergo an initial editorial assessment to determine their relevance to the journal's scope and compliance with its submission requirements. Manuscripts that meet these requirements may proceed to peer review in accordance with the journal's editorial policies.
